"You got to have Faith!"
The priest yelled out to his congregation. Everyone was listening to every word, although they had heard it all before. For some it meant being faithful to the lord, the person in charge, whilst others thought it was to believe in something greater than themselves and to allow that thing, whatever it was, to be in control.
I am of the latter faith. How about you?
As we watch Covid-19 drift through our lives, we can also see how each person reacts to the event. For all of us it means something a little different. It has created fear, worry, wealth, power, position, jobs, anger, hate, and a range of new psychologies that people will be studying for many years to come.
I have gone through many stages of covid psych. I wonder if it has been similar to grief/loss? (Link to theory of loss)
The theory is that in grief, you progress through 5 stages:
Stage 1: Denial
Stage 2: Anger
Stage 3: Bargaining
Stage 4: Depression
Stage 5: Acceptance
Yes I think that is fair. I now feel 'Acceptance', but I know that I am lucky. At my age Acceptance is a good place to be. It has taken a lot of effort, lessons, failures, successes and people for me to get to here. Not everyone is going to be in the same place.
Far too many people have suffered so many things:
Death due to SARS-CoV-2
Grasping for solutions
Accepting an untried solution
Forcing people against their will
And finally, here in New Zealand, apart from about 300,000 kiwis, we have all simply evolved to Acceptance
I am making a prediction. Omicron will sort everything out:
1. Both vaxxed and unvaxxed are in the same boat, as the 'mRNA injection' will not protect you.
2. Your natural immunity will be tested.
3. Omicron will wipe out Delta.
4. Your natural immunity is the only long term solution.
5. The vaccine app will continue to be a requirement on phones as this will become your medical record.
6. You will not be required to have the 'mRNA Injection' for SARS-CoV-2.
Live your best life now.
